Crepe Paper Love

This month I picked up a new hobby; making paper flowers! They’re inexpensive to make, and quite easy once you get the hang of it. The most important part is having the proper tools. I used a few different tutorials. Some of which you can find online!

The first online tutorial I used was from Appetitepaper. She has step by step instructions, and great tutorials on working with floral tape and cutting petals. I bought her tutorials, but she has a few free on her site:

The Hot Pink Cutie Wildflower : The Yellow Day Dreaming Wildflower : and The Thistle

They’re super easy to make and as a first timer I was quite happy with the results! The other tutorial I used was from The House that Lars Built. She has a few free tutorials on there as well:

The Daffodil and  Garden Flowers (which you can blow up to make bigger flowers).

The Carnation I got from Papetal, you can find it here .

These peonies from Oh Happy Day are super easy, and you can make them in all different sizes, find the tutorial here .

My last resource was the book Paper to Petal it has tons of tutorials and ideas.

With those resources I was able to come up with different flower combinations, and even my own flowers! The possibilities are endless with paper flowers, you can put them in a vase if you just want to display them at home, you can make a wreath or a crown out of them, you can even spice up some gift wrap. I can’t stop making them! It’s a fun thing to do while I am sitting there watching The Bachelor or The Real Housewives of where ever. Plus, it’s super inexpensive, crepe paper will go a LONG way, and just grab a couple of coupons and head to Michael’s for the wire, floral tape and hot glue gun.

I hope you find these tutorials as helpful as I did and I can’t wait to see your flowers! Let me know if you have any questions, you can also reach out to the other bloggers mentioned above, they’re so nice!
